Ultimately, every individual employee should be accountable for promoting not only his or her own success, but also collective success. This can be achieved through encouragement, following up, rewarding and by challenging yourself and those around you. Even difficult subjects must be discussed in a constructive and solution-oriented manner. This means that the individual always has the right, and the duty, to ask when she doesn’t understand. This is why it’s so important to use roles and accountability based on knowledge and expertise in decision-making. This will help us ensure that the right expertise and knowledge is utilized to achieve shared goals.
